                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, January 6, 1997, was indeed a special day for

 1-2     Matthew and Melissa Morris, for on that day they celebrated their

 1-3     first wedding anniversary; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, The couple exchanged their wedding vows at Central

 1-5     Baptist Church in Bryan; Mr. Morris was born in Houston to Mr. and

 1-6     Mrs. Malcolm Stewart Morris, while his lovely wife hails from

 1-7     College Station and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edward

 1-8     Olivas; and

 1-9           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Morris share a deep and abiding faith,

1-10     and they intend to demonstrate their commitment to each other, and

1-11     to the Lord, by ministering to others; and

1-12           WHEREAS, They also share a strong belief that marriage is a

1-13     lifelong commitment made before God, church, family, and friends,

1-14     and they have dedicated themselves to honoring this institution for

1-15     the rest of their days; now, therefore, be it

1-16           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-17     Legislature hereby congratulate Matthew and Melissa Morris on the

1-18     occasion of their first wedding anniversary and extend to them

1-19     warmest best wishes for many more years of continued happiness;

1-20     and, be it further

1-21           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

1-22     prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Morris as an expression of high regard by

1-23     the Texas House of Representatives.
