R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The passing of Jolene Snokhous on April 11, 1997, at

 1-2     the age of 69, has brought a great loss to the family and many

 1-3     friends of this beloved woman; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, She was born to William and Ella Mae Grant on March

 1-5     30, 1928, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and was graduated from that

 1-6     town's Red Bank High School; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, Mrs. Snokhous met her future husband, Raymond

 1-8     Snokhous, when she was a student at the University of Houston, and

 1-9     the pair made a lasting commitment to each other when they

1-10     exchanged their wedding vows on September 5, 1952; and

1-11           WHEREAS, She will be fondly remembered for her devotion to

1-12     her family, and her dedication to her husband, children, and

1-13     grandchildren was a source of inspiration to countless individuals;

1-14     and

1-15           WHEREAS, Jolene Snokhous touched the lives of many people

1-16     during her lifetime, and though her special presence will be deeply

1-17     missed, her memory will long endure in the hearts and minds of all

1-18     who knew and loved her; now, therefore, be it

1-19           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-20     Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jolene Snokhous and

1-21     extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her

1-22     husband, Raymond Snokhous; to her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and

1-23     Nanette Snokhous; to her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Dean

1-24     Nunneley; to her grandchildren, Jason and Kayla Snokhous and

 2-1     Kelsey, Kyle, and Kody Nunneley; to her sister and brother-in-law,

 2-2     Billie Ann and Bert Schreiber; and to her many other friends and

 2-3     relatives; and, be it further

 2-4           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-5     prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas

 2-6     House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of

 2-7     Jolene Snokhous.
