                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, Estellar Lee Embry Belcher is an esteemed citizen of

 1-2     Texas who recently celebrated her 107th birthday, and it is indeed

 1-3     appropriate that she be honored at this time; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, Born January 1, 1890, in the community of Overton,

 1-5     this distinguished woman moved to nearby Tyler as an adult and

 1-6     married Charlie Embry, also a native of Overton; in Tyler, the

 1-7     industrious couple worked picking cotton and supplemented their

 1-8     income with other jobs as well; and

 1-9           WHEREAS, After Mr. Embry's passing, she was fortunate to find

1-10     happiness again, enjoying a long and rewarding marriage to Houston

1-11     Belcher; Mrs. Belcher dedicated much of her life to the health and

1-12     well-being of her eight children, and all of them benefited from

1-13     the wisdom, love, and support of their devoted mother; and

1-14           WHEREAS, Now a resident of the Forest Hill Community in Fort

1-15     Worth, this lovely lady continues to be a special presence in the

1-16     lives of all who know her; Estellar Lee Embry Belcher has

1-17     contributed greatly to her community and to the Lone Star State,

1-18     and her strength and spirit are an inspiration to all Texans; now,

1-19     therefore, be it

1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-21     Legislature hereby pay tribute to Estellar Lee Embry Belcher and

1-22     extend to her warmest best wishes for the future; and, be it

1-23     further

1-24           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-1     prepared for Mrs. Belcher as an expression of high regard by the

 2-2     Texas House of Representatives.
