                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to

 1-2     congratulate Cindy Wirz on her graduation from Our Lady of the Lake

 1-3     University in San Antonio with a master's degree in social work;

 1-4     and

 1-5           WHEREAS, Before she began her graduate studies, Ms. Wirz drew

 1-6     on her many talents and abilities to benefit schoolchildren as a

 1-7     social worker in South Carolina's Beaufort County School District;

 1-8     and

 1-9           WHEREAS, While pursuing her master's degree, Ms. Wirz

1-10     successfully balanced her studies with employment, having

1-11     positively affected an array of issues vital to the State of Texas

1-12     as a district assistant and legislative aide to our esteemed

1-13     colleague on Capitol Hill, the Honorable Ciro Rodriguez, during his

1-14     tenure as a member of this chamber; and

1-15           WHEREAS, Ms. Wirz is also a member of the National

1-16     Association of Social Workers, and her noteworthy accomplishments

1-17     have earned her a nomination to the group's Denton chapter; and

1-18           WHEREAS, This devoted individual has served her community as

1-19     a dedicated volunteer as well, and her involvement in the Special

1-20     Olympics helped to make the program more meaningful for many

1-21     individuals; and

1-22           WHEREAS, Throughout all her endeavors, she has enjoyed the

1-23     love and support of her parents, Dick Wirz and Ann Wirz, and her

1-24     brother, Scott Wirz; and

 2-1           WHEREAS, Cindy Wirz has demonstrated exceptional dedication,

 2-2     initiative, and determination in successfully pursuing her academic

 2-3     and career goals, and she is indeed deserving of special

 2-4     legislative recognition on this auspicious occasion; now,

 2-5     therefore, be it

 2-6           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

 2-7     Legislature hereby congratulate Cindy Wirz on her graduation from

 2-8     Our Lady of the Lake University and extend to her warmest best

 2-9     wishes for continued success and happiness in the years to come;

2-10     and, be it further

2-11           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

2-12     prepared for Ms. Wirz as an expression of high regard by the Texas

2-13     House of Representatives.
