R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, March 9, 1997, was indeed a special day for Carl and 1-2 Bonnie Elder of San Antonio, for on that day they became the proud 1-3 parents of a beautiful daughter, Marissa Brooke Elder; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Marissa was born at Methodist Women's and Children's 1-5 Hospital at 2:35 a.m. weighing 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and measuring 1-6 19-1/2 inches in length; and 1-7 WHEREAS, Friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Elder have 1-8 been privileged to share their jubilation and excitement as they 1-9 have welcomed this precious baby girl into their family; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Blessed with personality, charm, and a proud Lone 1-11 Star birthright that will follow her wherever she goes, this fine 1-12 young Texan has indeed brightened the lives of everyone around her, 1-13 and she is a tremendous source of joy and delight to her family and 1-14 many new admirers; now, therefore, be it 1-15 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-16 Legislature hereby officially welcome Marissa Brooke Elder as a new 1-17 citizen of Texas and extend sincere congratulations to Carl and 1-18 Bonnie Elder on the birth of their beloved daughter; and, be it 1-19 further 1-20 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 1-21 prepared for Marissa and her parents as an expression of high 1-22 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
