R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans 1-2 who have shared 50 happy and rewarding years of marriage is truly a 1-3 memorable occasion worthy of special recognition; and 1-4 WHEREAS, The Reverend and Mrs. K. F. Charles of Kilgore 1-5 recently had the privilege of commemorating such an event in their 1-6 lives when they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on 1-7 March 23, 1997, with a festive party at the Senior Center in 1-8 Longview; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Since sharing their wedding vows, the couple have 1-10 nurtured an enduring relationship that has grown in love and 1-11 understanding with each passing year, and they have enriched not 1-12 only their own lives but the lives of those around them with their 1-13 devotion to each other; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Reverend and Mrs. Charles are the proud parents of 1-15 two children, Ronald Charles and Sherry Coe, and they have welcomed 1-16 the addition of four grandchildren, Ronald Charles, Jr., Brad 1-17 Charles, Paul Coe, and Chanda Coe, into their close-knit family; 1-18 and 1-19 WHEREAS, For half a century, Reverend and Mrs. Charles have 1-20 shared a warm and affectionate union filled with many happy times 1-21 and cherished family memories; built on a solid foundation of 1-22 mutual love, trust, and support, their marriage is a source of joy 1-23 and inspiration to the many friends and family of this fortunate 1-24 pair; now, therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 2-2 Legislature hereby congratulate the Reverend and Mrs. K. F. Charles 2-3 on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to 2-4 them warmest best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it 2-5 further 2-6 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-7 prepared for Reverend and Mrs. Charles as an expression of high 2-8 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
