R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, June 1, 1997, is indeed a significant day in the 1-2 lives of the 566 graduating seniors of North Shore High School in 1-3 Galena Park; and 1-4 WHEREAS, These students, who make up North Shore's 32nd 1-5 graduating class, have completed the requirements for graduation 1-6 and now join a proud and distinguished group of alumni from this 1-7 outstanding educational institution; and 1-8 WHEREAS, The members of the Class of 1997 have earned 1-9 numerous honors and distinctions during their high school careers 1-10 and have brought pride to their school, the city of Galena Park, 1-11 and the great state of Texas through their exemplary performance in 1-12 academics, the arts, and athletics, as well as in numerous 1-13 vocational and extracurricular activities; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Their many accomplishments, of course, would not 1-15 have been possible without the dedicated instruction, support, and 1-16 guidance of the faculty and administration of North Shore High 1-17 School and the vision of the Galena Park Independent School 1-18 District's board of directors; and 1-19 WHEREAS, The parents of this year's graduates are equally 1-20 deserving of recognition for their commitment to educational 1-21 excellence in public schools and for their loving efforts to help 1-22 ensure that their children are academically prepared to face the 1-23 challenges of the 21st century; now, therefore, be it 1-24 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 2-1 Legislature hereby congratulate and commend the North Shore High 2-2 School Class of 1997 on the occasion of their graduation and offer 2-3 them sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness in all 2-4 their future endeavors; and, be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-6 prepared for North Shore High School Class of 1997 as an expression 2-7 of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
