                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, Timothy J. Brady has provided exceptional leadership

 1-2     as president of the Texas Association of Insurance Agents, and it

 1-3     is indeed appropriate that he be honored at this time; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, Mr. Brady began his distinguished career in the

 1-5     insurance industry as a manager with Liberty Mutual Insurance

 1-6     Company, and he went on to work for the Nordstrom Agency, Inc., for

 1-7     10 years; he purchased that agency in 1982 and became president and

 1-8     owner of T. J. Brady & Associates, and a later merger created

 1-9     Brady, Chapman, Holland & Associates, Inc., which Mr. Brady serves

1-10     as chairman and chief executive officer; and

1-11           WHEREAS, In addition to his position with the Texas

1-12     Association of Insurance Agents, Mr. Brady has contributed to his

1-13     profession through his leadership roles with the Houston

1-14     Association of Insurance Agents, the Amerisure Agents' Advisory

1-15     Council, The Travelers/Aetna Commercial Lines Agency Council, and

1-16     many other fine organizations; he has also offered his time and

1-17     expertise to the Houston Apartment Association, the Community

1-18     Association Institute, the Northwest Houston Executive Club, and

1-19     the Northgate Country Club, where he currently serves as a member

1-20     of the Board of Governors; and

1-21           WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Brady has enjoyed the love

1-22     and support of his wife, Judi Brady, and his five children, Jeff

1-23     Brady, Gregg Brady, Janet Brady Clark, Leigh Brady, and Lindsay

1-24     Brady; in recent years, his family has grown to include

 2-1     daughters-in-law Stephanie  Brady and Linda Brady, son-in-law Rick

 2-2     Clark, and six cherished grandchildren, Jason, Jake, Timmy, Nicole,

 2-3     Jamie, and Eric; and

 2-4           WHEREAS, Both as a businessman and as a civic leader, Timothy

 2-5     J. Brady has contributed greatly to the betterment of the Houston

 2-6     community, and his dedicated service has earned him the respect and

 2-7     admiration of all who know him; now, therefore, be it

 2-8           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

 2-9     Legislature hereby honor Timothy J. Brady for his outstanding

2-10     professional leadership and extend to him warmest best wishes for

2-11     continued success and happiness in the future; and, be it further

2-12           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

2-13     prepared for Mr. Brady as an expression of high regard by the Texas

2-14     House of Representatives.
