                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans
 1-2     who have shared 50 happy and rewarding years of marriage is a
 1-3     memorable occasion worthy of honor and praise; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Billy and Virginia Cozart will soon have the
 1-5     privilege of commemorating such a momentous event in their lives
 1-6     when they celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on June 18,
 1-7     1997; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, United in matrimony half a century ago in Port
 1-9     Arthur, Mr. and Mrs. Cozart have nurtured an enduring relationship
1-10     that has grown in love and understanding with each passing year and
1-11     that has been blessed with three sons, Bryan Cozart, Gary Cozart,
1-12     and Steve Cozart, and four beloved grandchildren; and
1-13           WHEREAS, A veteran of both World War II and the Korean War,
1-14     Mr. Cozart founded Dal-East Plumbing Company in Dallas in 1959, and
1-15     nine years later, he established the A-Z Cattle Ranch in Kemp;
1-16     Mrs. Cozart is a graduate of San Marcos Baptist Academy and went on
1-17     to attend Southwest Texas State Teachers' College, and she has
1-18     dedicated much of her life to providing a warm and nurturing home
1-19     for her family; and
1-20           WHEREAS, Today, the couple are enjoying a well-deserved
1-21     retirement on their ranch in Kaufman County, where they have
1-22     established themselves as vital and valued members of their
1-23     community; both of them belong to the Tolosa Baptist Church, which
1-24     Mr. Cozart further serves as an esteemed member of the board of
 2-1     directors, and Mrs. Cozart is known to her many friends and
 2-2     neighbors as an avid doll collector; and
 2-3           WHEREAS, For half a century, Billy and Virginia Cozart have
 2-4     shared a deeply rewarding marriage filled with many happy times and
 2-5     cherished family memories; their life together has been an
 2-6     inspiration to their family and many friends, and they are indeed
 2-7     deserving of special legislative recognition at this time; now,
 2-8     therefore, be it
 2-9           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas
2-10     Legislature hereby honor Billy and Virginia Cozart on the occasion
2-11     of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them warmest best
2-12     wishes for many more years of continued success and happiness; and,
2-13     be it further
2-14           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-15     prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Cozart as an expression of high regard by
2-16     the Texas House of Representatives.
