R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, David Hagerla is a valued member of State 1-2 Representative Glen Maxey's staff, and his record of public service 1-3 is indeed worthy of special recognition; and 1-4 WHEREAS, A native of Alabama, Mr. Hagerla has brought to his 1-5 work as a legislative aide an astute grasp of public policy coupled 1-6 with distinctively Southern sensibilities, and these notable assets 1-7 have served him well during his tenure at the legislature; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Mr. Hagerla has lent his expertise to Mr. Maxey as a 1-9 policy advisor on education, human services, and disability issues 1-10 and has been particularly effective as an eloquent advocate for the 1-11 elderly and disabled; and 1-12 WHEREAS, His contributions to Mr. Maxey's legislative program 1-13 are all the more impressive given Mr. Hagerla's busy schedule 1-14 during this time; while pursuing a master's degree in social work 1-15 at The University of Texas at Austin, he also served as a policy 1-16 intern at the Texas Youth Commission; and 1-17 WHEREAS, David Hagerla's keen intelligence and analytical 1-18 skills have greatly benefited his colleagues at the Texas 1-19 Legislature and citizens across the Lone Star State, and it is 1-20 appropriate to take this opportunity to recognize him for his many 1-21 contributions; now, therefore, be it 1-22 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-23 Legislature hereby honor David Hagerla for his outstanding service 1-24 to the Texas Legislature and extend to him sincere best wishes for 2-1 continued success and happiness in the years to come; and, be it 2-2 further 2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-4 prepared for Mr. Hagerla as an expression of high regard by the 2-5 Texas House of Representatives.
