R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The success of the biennial legislative session

 1-2     depends upon a great number of individuals, and the many interns

 1-3     who generously volunteer their assistance to the State of Texas are

 1-4     indeed deserving of special legislative recognition; and

 1-5           WHEREAS, El Paso's Adrian Rodriguez has distinguished himself

 1-6     as a member of Representative Norma Chavez's staff; he has

 1-7     contributed greatly to the Representative's preparedness by

 1-8     researching the issues of economic development, free trade, and

 1-9     taxes, and he has also done valuable work to support her membership

1-10     on the committee on State, Federal, and International Relations;

1-11     and

1-12           WHEREAS, A graduate of El Paso's Eastwood High School,

1-13     Mr. Rodriguez has just completed his first year at The University

1-14     of Texas at Austin where he is studying government; he recently

1-15     received the Ampla Cum Laude distinction for his academic

1-16     excellence at the university, and he hopes to attend law school

1-17     after earning his degree; and

1-18           WHEREAS, In addition to his work as an intern, this dedicated

1-19     individual currently serves as news director for KVRX, the

1-20     university's student radio station, and he is active in the UT

1-21     band; he also volunteers his time and energy to help build and

1-22     refurbish homes with Habitat for Humanity; and

1-23           WHEREAS, Adrian Rodriguez's commitment to excellence has

1-24     earned him the respect and admiration of his coworkers and peers,

 2-1     and as the session comes to a close, the members of this chamber

 2-2     are pleased to recognize his hard work; now, therefore, be it

 2-3           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

 2-4     Legislature hereby commend Adrian Rodriguez for his contributions

 2-5     to the accomplishments of the 75th Legislative Session and extend

 2-6     to him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness in

 2-7     all his future endeavors; and, be it further

 2-8           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-9     prepared for Mr. Rodriguez as an expression of high regard by the

2-10     Texas House of Representatives.
