R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The success of the biennial legislative session

 1-2     depends upon a great number of individuals, and the many interns

 1-3     who generously volunteer their assistance to the State of Texas are

 1-4     indeed deserving of special legislative recognition; and

 1-5           WHEREAS, Alexandra Jojin's dedicated service during her

 1-6     internship has proven beneficial to State Representative Norma

 1-7     Chavez and her entire staff; Ms. Jojin's work on the issues of

 1-8     higher education and workforce development, as well as her support

 1-9     of Representative Chavez's membership on the Committee on Human

1-10     Services, has earned her the respect and admiration of her

1-11     coworkers; and

1-12           WHEREAS, A native of Connecticut, Ms. Jojin is a public

1-13     relations major at The University of Texas at Austin's School of

1-14     Communications; her love of Longhorn football is evidenced by her

1-15     constant presence at the team's home games, and her friends claim

1-16     that, despite her northeastern upbringing, she does in fact bleed

1-17     burnt orange; and

1-18           WHEREAS, An active member of Alpha Phi Omega service

1-19     fraternity, she also serves as a tutor with Literacy Volunteers of

1-20     America and supports the worthwhile efforts of Habitat for

1-21     Humanity; she is deeply concerned about the issues of education and

1-22     environmental protection and hopes to someday apply the skills she

1-23     develops in college to benefit a nonprofit organization; and

1-24           WHEREAS, Alexandra Jojin's invaluable assistance throughout

 2-1     her internship has helped make the 75th Legislative Session a

 2-2     positive experience for others on Representative Chavez's staff,

 2-3     and as this session winds to a conclusion, the members of this

 2-4     chamber are pleased to recognize her dedication and commitment to

 2-5     excellence; now, therefore, be it

 2-6           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

 2-7     Legislature hereby commend Alexandra Jojin for her contributions to

 2-8     the success of the 75th Legislative Session and extend to her

 2-9     sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness in all her

2-10     future endeavors; and, be it further

2-11           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

2-12     prepared for Ms. Jojin as an expression of high regard by the Texas

2-13     House of Representatives.
