R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas Leadership Institute has established 1-2 itself as a vital and valued resource for Texans from all walks of 1-3 life, and this organization's many worthwhile endeavors are indeed 1-4 deserving of special praise and recognition at this time; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Created to foster leadership training and economic 1-6 development throughout the Lone Star State, the Texas Leadership 1-7 Institute's particular emphasis is on rural areas, and by bringing 1-8 together educational institutions, government agencies, and 1-9 nonprofit organizations, the institute sheds new light on the 1-10 challenges facing the state's elected officials and community 1-11 leaders; and 1-12 WHEREAS, The success of the institute's approach to 1-13 contemporary issues is in large part due to the diversity and depth 1-14 of its participants, and the organization has drawn on the talent 1-15 and experience of such notable partners as the Lower Colorado River 1-16 Authority, the Texas A&M Agricultural Extension Service, the V. G. 1-17 Young Institute of County Government, the Texas Association of 1-18 Counties, the Texas Municipal League, the Texas Electric 1-19 Cooperative, the Pedernales Electric Cooperative, the Texas 1-20 Association of Business & Chambers of Commerce, the Texas Economic 1-21 Development Council, and numerous college campuses and 1-22 organizations; and 1-23 WHEREAS, The Texas Leadership Institute's founders and staff 1-24 have distinguished themselves by their vision and dedication, and 2-1 it is fitting at this time to honor their remarkable efforts; now, 2-2 therefore, be it 2-3 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 2-4 Legislature hereby recognize all those associated with the Texas 2-5 Leadership Institute for their outstanding contributions to the 2-6 community and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 2-7 success in the years to come.
