R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           BE IT RESOLVED, by the House of Representatives of the State

 1-2     of Texas, That House Rule 13, Chapter C, Section 9(a) and (b), be

 1-3     suspended in part as provided by House Rule 13, Chapter C, Section

 1-4     9(f) to enable consideration of, and action on, the following

 1-5     specific matters which may be contained in the Conference Committee

 1-6     Report on House Bill 1.

 1-7     1.  Salary Policy

 1-8           A.  The Conference Committee Report provides an appropriation

 1-9     for a $100 per month salary increase for employees of state

1-10     agencies and for non-faculty employees of institutions of higher

1-11     education.  The salary plan proposed by the Conference Committee

1-12     adjusts the salary rates listed for classified positions and

1-13     authorizes the adjustment of salaries for exempt positions not

1-14     specifically increased by the Conference Committee.
