No. 1233 75R17091 SAJ-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, On May 30, 1997, Kody Earl Kubiak will graduate from 1-2 Rockdale High School; and 1-3 WHEREAS, Born February 14, 1979, this fine young man is a 1-4 vital and valued member of the student body, and he has established 1-5 himself as a well-rounded scholar, balancing the demands of his 1-6 course load with enthusiastic participation in the school's 1-7 athletics program; and 1-8 WHEREAS, An honors graduate, Mr. Kubiak has been listed in 1-9 Who's Who Among High School Students, and he is highly regarded for 1-10 his athletic prowess as well, for in addition to being a three-year 1-11 letterman in shot put and discus, he was named the 1997 Most 1-12 Valuable Player of the Rockdale Tigers football team; and 1-13 WHEREAS, This talented young athlete has also been named to 1-14 the all-district football team each year during high school, and he 1-15 has gained mention in Who's Who Among American High School 1-16 Athletes; and 1-17 WHEREAS, A master of archery as well, Mr. Kubiak makes time 1-18 in his busy schedule to enjoy deer, turkey, and wild hog hunting, 1-19 and his skills have earned him renown on the Guajalote; and 1-20 WHEREAS, Throughout his life, he has drawn strength and 1-21 sustenance from his faith, and he puts his beliefs into practice as 1-22 an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church; and 1-23 WHEREAS, Mr. Kubiak has demonstrated exceptional 1-24 intelligence, initiative, and maturity in successfully pursuing a 2-1 variety of academic and athletic goals, and he is indeed deserving 2-2 of special recognition for his achievements; now, therefore, be it 2-3 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 2-4 Legislature hereby congratulate Kody Earl Kubiak on his graduation 2-5 from Rockdale High School and extend to him sincere best wishes for 2-6 continued success and happiness in the years to come; and, be it 2-7 further 2-8 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-9 prepared for Mr. Kubiak as an expression of high regard by the 2-10 Texas House of Representatives.
