                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans

 1-2     who have shared 50 happy and rewarding years of marriage is truly a

 1-3     memorable occasion worthy of special praise and recognition; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, Edward and Billye Tracy had the privilege of

 1-5     commemorating such a momentous event in their lives when they

 1-6     celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on April 18, 1997, with

 1-7     a festive reception hosted by the couple's children; and

 1-8           WHEREAS, Since exchanging their wedding vows at North Fort

 1-9     Worth Baptist Church, the Tracys have nurtured an enduring

1-10     relationship that has grown in love and understanding with each

1-11     passing year and that has been blessed with three children, Micki

1-12     Maris, Ed Tracy, and David Tracy; and

1-13           WHEREAS, A World War II veteran, Mr. Tracy is retired from

1-14     his career as an air traffic controller with the Federal Aviation

1-15     Administration, while Mrs. Tracy has devoted herself to providing a

1-16     warm and secure home life for the couple's family throughout their

1-17     marriage; and

1-18           WHEREAS, Now deservedly enjoying the many benefits of a full

1-19     life together, the couple find they have more time to pursue their

1-20     favorite leisure activities, and they treasure the time they spend

1-21     with their family, which has grown to include their children's

1-22     spouses, Mike Maris and Sherry Tracy, and four beloved

1-23     grandchildren; and

1-24           WHEREAS, For half a century, Edward and Billye Tracy have

 2-1     shared a warm and affectionate union filled with many happy times

 2-2     and cherished family memories; built on a solid foundation of

 2-3     mutual love, trust, and support, their marriage is a source of joy

 2-4     and inspiration to the family and many friends of this fortunate

 2-5     pair; now, therefore, be it

 2-6           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

 2-7     Legislature hereby congratulate Edward and Billye Tracy on the

 2-8     occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them

 2-9     warmest best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further

2-10           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

2-11     prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Tracy as an expression of high regard by

2-12     the Texas House of Representatives.
