No. 1239 75R16911 BNL-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The family and many friends of Patsy Winn Garner 1-2 were deeply saddened by her death on April 21, 1997, at the age of 1-3 61, and the members of this chamber join in mourning her passing; 1-4 and 1-5 WHEREAS, A native Texan, Mrs. Garner was born July 24, 1935, 1-6 in Fort Worth and was the daughter of George Parker and Mable Lee 1-7 Paul Winn; and 1-8 WHEREAS, This distinguished woman enjoyed a happy and 1-9 rewarding marriage to Jack Garner, and she was blessed with the 1-10 love and support of four children; Mrs. Garner was also an esteemed 1-11 member of Lake Worth United Methodist Church; and 1-12 WHEREAS, In all aspects of her life, Patsy Winn Garner 1-13 exemplified the highest standards of integrity and honor, and 1-14 though her presence is gone from us now, her unique spirit will 1-15 long endure in the hearts of all those who were privileged to know 1-16 her; now, therefore, be it 1-17 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-18 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Patsy Winn Garner and 1-19 extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her 1-20 beloved husband, Jack Garner; to her son and daughter-in-law, 1-21 Christopher Scott and Anna Evans; to her daughters and sons-in-law, 1-22 Jerri Lynn and Steve Spradling, Storm and Gayle Cosby, and Melody 1-23 Rae Garner; to her sisters, Sarah Patrick and Kathryn Thompson; and 1-24 to all the relatives and friends of this fine woman; and, be it 2-1 further 2-2 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-3 prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas 2-4 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-5 Patsy Winn Garner.
