R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Sarah Wohlgemuth, the daughter of Mikeal and Arlene 1-2 Wohlgemuth, has distinguished herself through her character, 1-3 leadership, and integrity in the first 18 years of her life; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Ms. Wohlgemuth has just completed an important 1-5 milestone by graduating as valedictorian from the Calvary Academy 1-6 in Fort Worth, Texas; and 1-7 WHEREAS, During her tenure at Calvary, Ms. Wohlgemuth 1-8 mastered course work in Math, Science, English, and Spanish, laying 1-9 a strong foundation for many important future contributions to 1-10 Texas and the world; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Ms. Wohlgemuth offered her leadership abilities to 1-12 Calvary and Burleson through Volleyball, Basketball, the Honor 1-13 Society, Student Council, Youth and Government, Swim Team, and the 1-14 Banquet Committee; and 1-15 WHEREAS, In each activity in which Ms. Wohlgemuth 1-16 participated, particularly Calvary's victory over their arch-rival 1-17 Lake Country, pride and honor were brought to her family, friends, 1-18 church, school, city, and state; and 1-19 WHEREAS, Ms. Wohlgemuth particularly treasures her community 1-20 volunteer activities of Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible 1-21 School, inner-city ministry, and math tutoring; and 1-22 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Christian lady has been 1-23 accepted at Texas A&M University as a member of the Fighting Texas 1-24 Aggie Class of 200l; and 2-1 WHEREAS, Texas A&M University and the State of Texas are 2-2 fortunate to have such a talented, gifted leader involved and 2-3 contributing to their advancement; now, therefore, be it 2-4 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th 2-5 Legislature hereby congratulate Sarah Wohlgemuth on being named 2-6 Calvary Academy's 1997 valedictorian and wish her well in all of 2-7 her future endeavors; and, be it further 2-8 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-9 prepared for Ms. Wohlgemuth as an expression of high regard by the 2-10 Texas House of Representatives.
