                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, On September 25, 1998, the Texas House of

 1-2     Representatives will join with citizens across the state in

 1-3     celebrating the premier of HealthExpo, an unprecedented education

 1-4     and entertainment event that will help inform Texans about many

 1-5     aspects of health, fitness, nutrition, wellness, and biotechnology;

 1-6     and

 1-7           WHEREAS, This eagerly anticipated event will premier at the

 1-8     Dallas Convention Center in the heart of the Lone Star State with

 1-9     its "Black Tie-Black Tights" Charity Opening Gala; and

1-10           WHEREAS, HealthExpo will feature a unique layout with a

1-11     Discovery Stage and five interactive activity zones: Every Body, In

1-12     Your Genes, Nutrition Neighborhood, Sensory Center, and The Well

1-13     Zone; and

1-14           WHEREAS, Drawing on the expertise of our state's health care

1-15     policy makers, medical professionals, business leaders, and

1-16     citizenry, HealthExpo will build tremendous goodwill and bring

1-17     international attention to Texas; and

1-18           WHEREAS, HealthExpo is under the able leadership of founder

1-19     Cynthia Ekberg Tsai and partners Anna Lynn Screpetis and Bonnie

1-20     Gothmann Wohlreich, in conjunction with an outstanding advisory

1-21     board of medical and business professionals, and the efforts of

1-22     these dedicated individuals are truly worthy of special legislative

1-23     recognition at this time; now, therefore, be it

1-24           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

 2-1     Legislature hereby recognize September 25, 1998, as HealthExpo Day

 2-2     in Texas; and, be it further

 2-3           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-4     prepared for the organizers of HealthExpo as an expression of

 2-5     highest regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
