                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The members of the Texas House of Representatives

 1-2     are deeply indebted to all the individuals whose hard work and

 1-3     dedication have enabled the workings of this chamber to proceed so

 1-4     smoothly throughout the 75th Legislative Session, and it is

 1-5     appropriate that we take a moment to honor them at this time; and

 1-6           WHEREAS, The expertise of the house floor staff has

 1-7     continually exceeded all reasonable expectations, and throughout

 1-8     many long and stressful hours, they have efficiently attended to

 1-9     the countless small details that many of us may take for granted;

1-10     from numbering all bills at the time of filing to recording

1-11     official votes, these hardworking men and women are a critical part

1-12     of the legislative process; and

1-13           WHEREAS, Under the leadership of Chief Clerk Sharon Carter,

1-14     Assistant Chief Clerk Tim Dudley expertly supervised members of the

1-15     clerk's staff, which includes Gentry Woodard, Rafael Rovira, Kris

1-16     Heckmann, Dan Hudson, Myneca Ojo, Jeff Kingsland, and Thomas

1-17     Little, and together they aided the chief clerk in attending to a

1-18     host of crucial administrative responsibilities, including

1-19     recording the actions on all bills and resolutions; and

1-20           WHEREAS, Journal Clerk Elena Castaldi took on the enormous

1-21     and important responsibility of keeping the house journal, and she

1-22     was aided in her efforts by Josie Bowman, Marie Stafford, and Julia

1-23     Bass; reading clerks Nando Gomez and Wendi Koletar became familiar

1-24     faces, and voices, to the members of this chamber as they announced

 2-1     every piece of legislation considered in the house; voting clerk

 2-2     Mike Fickel, with the able assistance of Scott Sanders, ensured

 2-3     that votes were carried out quickly and accurately, while Mary Camp

 2-4     of the Legislative Reference Library performed an invaluable

 2-5     service by recording all floor actions for updates of the

 2-6     Legislative Information System (LIS); and

 2-7           WHEREAS, All of these individuals displayed considerable

 2-8     professionalism and integrity in executing their duties, even under

 2-9     difficult circumstances, and as the 75th Legislature draws to a

2-10     close, it is fitting that we express our deepest appreciation and

2-11     gratitude to each one of them; now, therefore, be it

2-12           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

2-13     Legislature hereby honor all members of the house floor staff for

2-14     their outstanding service and extend to them warmest best wishes

2-15     for continued success and happiness in the future; and, be it

2-16     further

2-17           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

2-18     prepared for them as an expression of highest regard by the Texas

2-19     House of Representatives.
