R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans

 1-2     who have shared 25 happy and rewarding years of marriage is truly a

 1-3     memorable occasion worthy of special praise and recognition; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, Charles and Naomi Chadwick will have the privilege

 1-5     of commemorating such an event in their lives when they celebrate

 1-6     their silver wedding anniversary on June 10, 1997; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, The Chadwicks met when they were working for IBM,

 1-8     and they dated for five years before they exchanged their wedding

 1-9     vows at Cameron Road Baptist Church; and

1-10           WHEREAS, Through the years, they have nurtured an enduring

1-11     relationship that has grown in love and understanding, and they

1-12     have enriched not only their own lives but the lives of those

1-13     around them with their devotion to each other; and

1-14           WHEREAS, The couple's family includes their children, Kara

1-15     Sue Wood, Jeanene Anette Wood, Jennifer Anne Chadwick, Linda Kay

1-16     Chadwick, James Danton Chadwick, and the late Wayne Alfred Wood,

1-17     and more recently they have welcomed the addition of their

1-18     grandchildren, Krystal, Matt, A. J., Shawn, Jenna, Chris, Jacob,

1-19     Meagan, and Lindsay, into the family fold; and

1-20           WHEREAS, Currently retired from their careers, Mr. Chadwick

1-21     completed 35 years of distinguished service to IBM as an electrical

1-22     engineer, and Mrs. Chadwick was a valued employee with that company

1-23     for a number of years as well; and

1-24           WHEREAS, Both of the Chadwicks work for the betterment of

 2-1     their community through their participation in Round Rock

 2-2     Caregivers, and Mr. Chadwick has also been an active member of the

 2-3     Masonic Lodge for 42 years; and

 2-4           WHEREAS, For more than two decades, Charles and Naomi

 2-5     Chadwick have shared a warm and affectionate union filled with many

 2-6     happy times and cherished family memories; built on a solid

 2-7     foundation of mutual love, trust, and support, their marriage is a

 2-8     source of joy and inspiration to the family and many friends of

 2-9     this fortunate pair; now, therefore, be it

2-10           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

2-11     Legislature hereby congratulate Charles and Naomi Chadwick on the

2-12     occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary and extend to them

2-13     warmest best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further

2-14           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

2-15     prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Chadwick as an expression of high regard

2-16     by the Texas House of Representatives.
