                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The members of the Texas House of Representatives

 1-2     join with the students, teachers, and parents of El Paso's St.

 1-3     Clement's Episcopal Parish School in celebrating the institution's

 1-4     recent designation as a Blue Ribbon School by the United States

 1-5     Department of Education; and

 1-6           WHEREAS, This prestigious award is given to the finest

 1-7     schools in the nation that have displayed a commitment to achieving

 1-8     academic excellence, fostering responsible student behavior, and

 1-9     providing educators with the recognition, training, and assistance

1-10     they deserve for their exceptional efforts; and

1-11           WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of Head Master Michael

1-12     Waller, St. Clement's Episcopal Parish School has consistently

1-13     demonstrated these qualities and is known throughout the state for

1-14     the innovative and challenging programs it offers to students at

1-15     all levels of academic ability; and

1-16           WHEREAS, Students at St. Clement's Episcopal Parish School

1-17     have compiled an impressive record of academic, artistic, and

1-18     athletic accomplishments, and their parents and teachers have

1-19     devoted themselves to giving these children new educational

1-20     opportunities that enable them to reach their highest goals and

1-21     aspirations; and

1-22           WHEREAS, St. Clement's Episcopal Parish School is one of the

1-23     most remarkable institutions of its kind in the State of Texas and

1-24     in the United States, and it is indeed appropriate that the school

 2-1     be given special legislative recognition in light of this recent

 2-2     honor; now, therefore, be it

 2-3           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

 2-4     Legislature hereby congratulate the students, parents, and teachers

 2-5     of St. Clement's Episcopal Parish School on receiving a national

 2-6     Blue Ribbon School award and commend them for their unwavering

 2-7     commitment to promoting excellence in education; and, be it further

 2-8           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-9     prepared for prominent display at St. Clement's Episcopal Parish

2-10     School as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of

2-11     Representatives.
