R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The Honorable David Harvey has dedicated himself to

 1-2     serving the citizens of Lucas as the city's mayor, and this

 1-3     remarkable individual is indeed deserving of special praise and

 1-4     recognition; and

 1-5           WHEREAS, A certified public accountant, Mayor Harvey earned

 1-6     his master's degree from the University of North Texas and is a

 1-7     distinguished honor graduate; in addition to his duties as mayor,

 1-8     this fine gentleman coaches a Little League baseball team and

 1-9     devotes a considerable amount of time to other organizations in his

1-10     community as well; and

1-11           WHEREAS, Mayor Harvey served eight years in the Army Reserve,

1-12     and was awarded the Army Achievement Medal; he and his wife, Cindy,

1-13     have been blessed with four beautiful children, and the family is

1-14     actively involved in the Lucas Christian Church; and

1-15           WHEREAS, David Harvey's willingness to take a leadership role

1-16     in the Lucas community has been a source of inspiration to his

1-17     family, friends, and fellow citizens, and his exemplary performance

1-18     in this demanding position underscores the positive effects of

1-19     community involvement; now, therefore, be it

1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-21     Legislature hereby commend the Honorable David Harvey and extend to

1-22     him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness in the

1-23     years to come; and, be it further

1-24           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-1     prepared for Mayor Harvey as an expression of high regard by the

 2-2     Texas House of Representatives.
