No. 1337 75R8384 WMS-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The recent passing of Jesse Waller on February 22, 1-2 1997, has brought a great loss to the many friends and relatives of 1-3 this esteemed Bevil Oaks resident; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Born in Neuville, Texas, Mr. Waller relocated to 1-5 Southeast Texas in 1945 and established a reputation as one of the 1-6 area's most highly regarded and reliable homebuilders; and 1-7 WHEREAS, A respected voice in his profession, this noteworthy 1-8 Texan was an active member of the National Association of 1-9 Homebuilders and a board member on the Sabine Area Homebuilders 1-10 Association and the Bevil Oaks Municipal Utility District; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Mr. Waller was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed the 1-12 sport of hunting; during his retirement years, he also took special 1-13 pleasure in traveling across the country to view our nation's many 1-14 natural wonders; and 1-15 WHEREAS, A man of deep and abiding religious faith as well, 1-16 Mr. Waller was a charter member and deacon at the First Baptist 1-17 Church of Bevil Oaks; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Jesse Waller was a man of rare strength and 1-19 generosity; although his presence is gone from us now, his 1-20 remarkable spirit will surely live on in the hearts of the many 1-21 people whose lives he touched during his time on this earth; now, 1-22 therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-24 Legislature hereby honor the life of Jesse Waller and extend 2-1 sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Dorothy 2-2 Waller; to his children, Karrel Waller, Denis Waller, Karen Kelley, 2-3 Gayle Wilkinson, and Marcia Corbet; to his sister, Rachael 2-4 Whitmyer; to his 10 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; and 2-5 to the many other friends and relatives of this beloved individual; 2-6 and, be it further 2-7 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-8 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 2-9 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-10 Jesse Waller.
