                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, Jacklynn Eason is retiring from her position as

 1-2     Brazoria County bookmobile librarian, bringing to a close a highly

 1-3     productive career that has spanned 46 years; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, This exemplary Texan was graduated from Brazoria

 1-5     High School, and after attaining her high school diploma she joined

 1-6     the staff of the Brazoria County Library System; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, In her capacity as bookmobile librarian, she has

 1-8     made a wide variety of volumes, ranging from children's books to

 1-9     adult literature, available to readers throughout Brazoria County,

1-10     including those residing in unincorporated areas, and her

1-11     innovative approach to her position has seen her expand the program

1-12     to incorporate a number of popular offerings, including

1-13     storytelling and puppet shows; and

1-14           WHEREAS, When not seeing to her job duties, Ms. Eason has

1-15     devoted her time to the pursuit of a variety of  interests, such as

1-16     reading, cooking, gardening, collecting angels, and traveling, and

1-17     after her retirement she hopes to visit the mountains in search of

1-18     adventure; and

1-19           WHEREAS, Throughout more than four decades of service,

1-20     Ms. Eason has sought to broaden the horizons of those around her

1-21     through the world of reading, and as she begins her well-deserved

1-22     retirement, she can indeed look back with tremendous pride and

1-23     satisfaction on her many significant achievements in behalf of her

1-24     fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it

 2-1           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

 2-2     Legislature hereby commend Jacklynn Eason on her remarkable

 2-3     contributions to her community as Brazoria County bookmobile

 2-4     librarian and extend to her sincere best wishes for a happy and

 2-5     rewarding retirement; and, be it further

 2-6           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-7     prepared for Jacklynn Eason as an expression of high regard by the

 2-8     Texas House of Representatives.
