                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

 1-1 AN ACT

1-2 relating to the immunity from liability of juvenile boards and

1-7 adding Subsection (j) to read as follows:

1-8 (j) In relation to the development and operation of a

1-9 juvenile justice alternative education program, a juvenile board is

1-10 immune from liability to the same extent as a school district, and

1-11 the juvenile board's professional employees and volunteers are

1-12 immune from liability to the same extent as a school district's

1-14 SECTION 2. This Act applies only to a cause of action that

1-15 accrues on or after the effective date of this Act. An action that

1-16 accrued before the effective date of this Act is governed by the

1-18 continued in effect for that purpose.

1-19 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the

1-20 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an

1-21 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the

1-22 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several

1-23 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,

1-24 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
