                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

                                       AN ACT

 1-1     relating to the construction, renovation, and equipment of the

 1-2     Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium.

 1-3           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

 1-4           SECTION 1.  Chapter 50, Acts of the 68th Legislature, Regular

 1-5     Session, 1983 (Article 6145-13, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes), is

 1-6     amended by adding Section 7 to read as follows:

 1-7           Section 7.  APPLICATION TO DARRELL K ROYAL - TEXAS MEMORIAL

 1-8     STADIUM.  This Act does not apply to the construction, renovation,

 1-9     or equipment of the structure known as Darrell K Royal - Texas

1-10     Memorial Stadium and related improvements, provided that the

1-11     maximum height of the construction, renovation, or equipment shall

1-12     not exceed 666 feet above sea level.

1-13           SECTION 2.  EMERGENCY.  The importance of this legislation

1-14     and the crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an

1-15     emergency and an imperative public necessity that the

1-16     constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several

1-17     days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,

1-18     and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its

1-19     passage, and it is so enacted.
