AN ACT

 1-1     relating to the conveyance of certain state-owned real property in

 1-2     Bexar County to the National Park Service.

 1-3           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

 1-4           SECTION 1.  (a)  The Texas Department of Mental Health and

 1-5     Mental Retardation may convey, on behalf of the state, all of the

 1-6     interest of the state in the real property described by Section 2

 1-7     of this Act to the federal government for administration by the

 1-8     National Park Service as a national park.

 1-9           (b)  Sections 31.1571 and 31.158, Natural Resources Code, do

1-10     not apply to the conveyance authorized by this section.

1-11           SECTION 2.  The real property authorized for conveyance by

1-12     Section 1 of this Act is a portion of the Texas Department of

1-13     Mental Health and Mental Retardation's San Antonio State Hospital

1-14     being 29.315 acres of land in two tracts, one of 28.478 acres and

1-15     one of 0.837 of one acre, and being all of that part of the San

1-16     Antonio State Hospital lands currently lying west or southwest of

1-17     the combined rights of way of South Presa Road and the Southern

1-18     Pacific Railroad and situated within the Anselmo Galvan Survey No.

1-19     25, Abstract No. 259, and further being a part of the lands

1-20     described in a deed to the State of Texas recorded in volume 63,

1-21     page 317, of the Deed Records of Bexar County, Texas.

1-22           SECTION 3.  The importance of this legislation and the

1-23     crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an

 2-1     emergency and an imperative public necessity that the

 2-2     constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several

 2-3     days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,

 2-4     and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its

 2-5     passage, and it is so enacted.
