1-6 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
1-7 AN ACT
1-8 relating to the enforcement of land use restrictions in certain
1-9 counties.
1-10 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-11 SECTION 1. The heading to Chapter 203, Property Code, is
1-12 amended to read as follows:
1-13 CHAPTER 203. ENFORCEMENT OF LAND USE RESTRICTIONS
1-14 IN CERTAIN COUNTIES [COUNTY WITH POPULATION
1-15 OF MORE THAN TWO MILLION]
1-16 SECTION 2. Section 203.001, Property Code, is amended to
1-17 read as follows:
1-18 Sec. 203.001. APPLICABILITY OF CHAPTER. This chapter
1-19 applies only to a county with a population of more than 200,000
1-20 [two million].
1-21 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the
1-22 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-23 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-24 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-25 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
1-26 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
1-27 passage, and it is so enacted.
