 1-6                            A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

 1-7                                   AN ACT

 1-8     relating to the composition of the Rockwall County Juvenile Board.

 1-9           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

1-10           SECTION 1.  Subsection (a), Section 152.2051, Human Resources

1-11     Code, is amended to read as follows:

1-12           (a)  The Rockwall County Juvenile Board is composed of:

1-13                 (1)  the county judge;

1-14                 (2)  [and] the district judge [judges] in Rockwall

1-15     County;

1-16                 (3)  one county commissioner appointed by the

1-17     commissioners court;

1-18                 (4)  one member of the board of trustees of the

1-19     Rockwall Independent School District selected by the board of

1-20     trustees of the Rockwall Independent School District; and

1-21                 (5)  one member of the board of trustees of the Royse

1-22     City Independent School District selected by the board of trustees

1-23     of the Royse City Independent School District.

1-24           SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 1997.

1-25           SECTION 3.  The importance of this legislation and the

1-26     crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an

1-27     emergency and an imperative public necessity that the

1-28     constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several

1-29     days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
