                                CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas Legislature is proud to honor McShan

 1-2     Florist, Inc., for the many contributions it has made to the Dallas

 1-3     community; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, The business was founded by the late Lee and Velma

 1-5     McShan on the principles of quality, style, and service, and the

 1-6     couple proudly opened the doors of their shop on December 1, 1948;

 1-7     and

 1-8           WHEREAS, The McShans' son, Bruce McShan, serves as president

 1-9     of the thriving operation today, and he continues the proud

1-10     traditions of business excellence and community service that were

1-11     established by his parents many years ago; and

1-12           WHEREAS, The family's wise leadership has helped their

1-13     business to prosper over the course of the years, and it has become

1-14     a multimillion-dollar enterprise with many devoted customers

1-15     throughout the Dallas area; and

1-16           WHEREAS, For nearly 50 years, McShan Florist, Inc., has been

1-17     an exemplary corporate citizen in its community, and it is indeed a

1-18     pleasure to recognize all those associated with this community

1-19     landmark for their remarkable commitment; now, therefore, be it

1-20           RESOLVED, That the 75th Legislature of the State of Texas

1-21     hereby commend President Bruce McShan, his loving family, and the

1-22     staff of McShan Florist, Inc., for their remarkable service to the

1-23     people of Dallas and extend to them warmest best wishes for

1-24     continued success and happiness; and, be it further

 2-1           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-2     prepared for McShan Florist, Inc., as an expression of high regard

 2-3     by the Texas Senate and House of Representatives.
