SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

 1-1           WHEREAS, Senate Bill No. 51 has been adopted by the senate

 1-2     and the house of representatives and is now in the office of the

 1-3     senate enrolling clerk; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, The bill contains technical errors that should be

 1-5     corrected; now, therefore, be it

 1-6           RESOLVED by the 75th Legislature of the State of Texas, That

 1-7     the enrolling clerk of the senate be instructed to correct Senate

 1-8     Bill No. 51 as follows:

 1-9           Strike SECTION 2 of the bill and substitute the following:

1-10           SECTION 2.  The change in law made by this Act applies to an

1-11     inmate who violates a policy adopted by the Texas Department of

1-12     Criminal Justice under Section 498.0042, Government Code, as added

1-13     by this Act, on or after the effective date of the policy,

1-14     regardless of whether the inmate is serving a sentence for an

1-15     offense committed before, on, or after the effective date of the

1-16     policy.
