 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in

 1-4     recognizing Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Chambers of Royse City on the

 1-5     auspicious occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary; and

 1-6           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Chambers celebrated their golden

 1-7     anniversary with a reception for family and friends on

 1-8     January 4, 1997, at the couple's home hosted by their children;

 1-9     and

1-10           WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably since their

1-11     marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Chambers have steadfastly embraced

1-12     traditional family and moral values; and

1-13           WHEREAS, Throughout the years, they have grown stronger as

1-14     together they have experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday

1-15     life; and

1-16           WHEREAS, For 50 years, the couple has shared a strong and

1-17     lasting marriage filled with many happy times and cherished

1-18     family memories; built on a foundation of mutual love, trust,

1-19     and support, their life together has been a source of joy and

1-20     inspiration for a great many people; now, therefore, be it

1-21           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

1-22     75th Legislature, hereby congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Chambers

1-23     on the momentous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary; and, be

 2-1     it further

 2-2           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

 2-3     Mr. and Mrs. Chambers as an expression of the highest regard of the

 2-4     Texas Senate.
