 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride

 1-4     in recognizing Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gibson of Kingston on the

 1-5     auspicious occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary; and

 1-6           WHEREAS, Married on January 11, 1947, in Dallas, the former

 1-7     Helen Fowler and Ralph Gibson looked forward to a promising

 1-8     future; and

 1-9           WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably since their

1-10     marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Gibson have steadfastly embraced

1-11     traditional family and moral values; and

1-12           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Gibson have been blessed with a large

1-13     family; they have two daughters, five grandchildren, and six

1-14     great-grandchildren; and

1-15           WHEREAS, The anniversary couple celebrated their golden

1-16     anniversary recently at the home of their daughter and son-in-law,

1-17     Paula and Larry Eason, who hosted the gala reception, joined by

1-18     their other daughter and son-in-law, Jeannette and John Scott; and

1-19           WHEREAS, Throughout the years, they have grown stronger as

1-20     together they have experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday

1-21     life; now, therefore, be it

1-22           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

1-23     75th Legislature, hereby congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gibson

 2-1     on the notable occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary; and,

 2-2     be it further

 2-3           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

 2-4     Mr. and Mrs. Gibson as an expression of the high regard of the

 2-5     Texas Senate.
