 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans

 1-4     who have shared 50 happy and rewarding years of marriage is truly

 1-5     a memorable occasion worthy of special recognition; and

 1-6           WHEREAS, G. W. and Bobbie Taylor recently had the privilege

 1-7     of commemorating such a momentous event in their lives when they

 1-8     celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on December 25, 1996;

 1-9     and

1-10           WHEREAS, Since they were united in matrimony in 1946,

1-11     Mr. and Mrs. Taylor have nurtured an enduring relationship that

1-12     has grown in love and mutual respect with each passing year and

1-13     that has been blessed with two children, Vicki and Gary; and

1-14           WHEREAS, Throughout their life together, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor

1-15     have been active members of their community; Mr. Taylor is retired

1-16     from his distinguished career as a law enforcement officer with

1-17     Wood County, while Mrs. Taylor is a valued employee in the

1-18     Winnsboro office of Dr. Warren Murrley; and

1-19           WHEREAS, Now surrounded by a loving family that has grown

1-20     to include six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, G. W.

1-21     and Bobbie Taylor still look forward to each day with the same

1-22     enthusiasm that first sparked their romance many years ago; and

1-23           WHEREAS, For half a century, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor have shared

 2-1     a warm and affectionate union filled with many happy times and

 2-2     cherished family memories; built on a solid foundation of mutual

 2-3     love, trust, and support, their marriage has long been a source

 2-4     of joy and inspiration to the family and many friends of this

 2-5     fortunate pair; now, therefore, be it

 2-6           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

 2-7     75th Legislature, hereby congratulate G. W. and Bobbie Taylor on

 2-8     the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them

 2-9     warmest best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further

2-10           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be prepared

2-11     for Mr. and Mrs. Taylor as an expression of high regard by the

2-12     Texas Senate.
