 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great pride

 1-4     in recognizing David L. Bridges on the auspicious occasion of his

 1-5     investiture as Justice for the Fifth District Court of Appeals in

 1-6     Dallas; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, Born in Rains County, Mr. Bridges has been quite

 1-8     active in political causes and community activities in both Tyler

 1-9     and Rockwall, Texas; and

1-10           WHEREAS, Now a resident of Rockwall, David and his wife,

1-11     Sandy, are the parents of two daughters, Elizabeth and Alexandria;

1-12     and

1-13           WHEREAS, Mr. Bridges brings a wealth of experience and

1-14     knowledge to his new position due to his many years as a criminal

1-15     prosecutor; and

1-16           WHEREAS, Although he is leaving a private practice law

1-17     firm, his proficiency in this area will add to the store of legal

1-18     training which he brings to his new position; and

1-19           WHEREAS, The selection of David L. Bridges as Justice for

1-20     the Fifth District Court of Appeals is to be commended; now,

1-21     therefore, be it

1-22           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

1-23     75th Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to

 2-1     David L. Bridges on this most welcome occasion; and, be

 2-2     it further

 2-3           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared

 2-4     for Mr. Bridges as an expression of the high regard of the

 2-5     Texas Senate.
