 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure

 1-4     in honoring the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce and the

 1-5     Angelina County Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of their

 1-6     visit to the State Capitol; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, Over the years, the Nacogdoches County and

 1-8     Angelina County chambers of commerce have worked hard to

 1-9     promote the commercial interests of their communities, to

1-10     stimulate the areas' economies, and to bring new business to

1-11     their localities; and

1-12           WHEREAS, Today, the chambers are resourceful organizations

1-13     whose members are leaders in the community and are dedicated

1-14     to protecting the amenities of the two counties; and

1-15           WHEREAS, On January 29, 1997, a special Lufkin/Nacogdoches

1-16     Day reception is being held, hosted by the two chambers of commerce,

1-17     the City of Lufkin, and the City of Nacogdoches; the reception

1-18     will feature a special Taste of East Texas menu; and

1-19           WHEREAS, The Angelina County Chamber of Commerce and the

1-20     Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce deserve to be proud of

1-21     the many projects they have initiated and supported on behalf

1-22     of the areas' citizens and of the invaluable services they

1-23     provide for the betterment of all the communities involved;

 2-1     now, therefore, be it

 2-2           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

 2-3     75th Legislature, hereby congratulate the members of the

 2-4     Angelina County Chamber of Commerce and the Nacogdoches County

 2-5     Chamber of Commerce and wish them continued success in all their

 2-6     endeavors; and, be it further

 2-7           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the

 2-8     chambers as an expression of the high regard of the Texas Senate.
