No. 96 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in 1-4 recognizing Special Agent Marshall Fisher on his 14 years of 1-5 loyal service with the United States Drug Enforcement Agency; and 1-6 WHEREAS, A graduate of Memphis State University, Marshall Fisher 1-7 formerly worked with the Tyler Police Department and with the 1-8 State of Louisiana Parole Board as a parole officer; and 1-9 WHEREAS, He joined the United States Drug Enforcement Agency 1-10 in 1983 as a special agent and moved to San Antonio in 1984; a 1-11 highly respected law enforcement officer, Marshall Fisher served 1-12 as an acting group supervisor for three years; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Currently a resident of Live Oak, Texas, Special 1-14 Agent Fisher is a man of courage and perseverance who has been 1-15 dedicated to making Texas a safer place in which to live, work, 1-16 and raise a family; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Throughout the years of his career, Marshall Fisher 1-18 has displayed expertise and superior judgment in dealing with 1-19 the unique challenges of law enforcement duty, and he has made 1-20 innumerable contributions to the residents of this state; and 1-21 WHEREAS, Recently promoted to the position of group supervisor 1-22 in Kansas City, Kansas, Special Agent Fisher will be greatly 1-23 missed by his colleagues in law enforcement in Texas and by the 2-1 many citizens who have benefitted from his superior service; now, 2-2 therefore, be it 2-3 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-4 75th Legislature, hereby express appreciation to Special Agent 2-5 Marshall Fisher for his dedication to his work in the field of 2-6 law enforcement and extend to him congratulations on his promotion 2-7 and best wishes for the future; and, be it further 2-8 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him 2-9 as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. 2-10 ______________________________________ 2-11 President of the Senate 2-12 I hereby certify that the above 2-13 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-14 on February 3, 1997. 2-15 ______________________________________ 2-16 Secretary of the Senate 2-17 ______________________________________ 2-18 Member, Texas Senate
