 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans who

 1-4     have shared 50 happy and fulfilling years of marriage is truly a

 1-5     memorable occasion worthy of special recognition; and

 1-6           WHEREAS, Neva Lenora Young and John Robert Jackson were married

 1-7     on January 25, 1947; and

 1-8           WHEREAS, Residents of Terrell for 35 years, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson

 1-9     have two children, John Wallace Jackson and Katherine Ann Blessing;

1-10     and

1-11           WHEREAS, Loving, patient, and loyal, Neva and John have been

1-12     exemplary parents, and their children lead successful and productive

1-13     lives; and

1-14           WHEREAS, The anniversary couple will celebrate their 50th

1-15     anniversary with a trip to Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi;

1-16     and

1-17           WHEREAS, The long and successful union of Mr. and Mrs. Jackson

1-18     is certainly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it

1-19           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

1-20     75th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to

1-21     Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Jackson on the occasion of their 50th

1-22     wedding anniversary; and, be it further

1-23           RESOLVED, That a special copy of this Resolution be prepared

 2-1     for this distinguished couple as a memento of this distinctive day

 2-2     in their lives.
