 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in

 1-4     recognizing Richard Buckles for being selected as METRO's Top Tech

 1-5     for December, 1996; and

 1-6           WHEREAS, Chosen by Houston's transit service for his

 1-7     outstanding work, Mr. Buckles is a licensed journeyman electrician

 1-8     at the Field Service Center; and

 1-9           WHEREAS, Essential to the operation of an effective system,

1-10     the maintenance side of METRO's transit service is responsible for

1-11     clean, well-maintained buses to meet the authority's goal of giving

1-12     quality service to its passengers; and

1-13           WHEREAS, Employed with the company since 1993, Richard Buckles

1-14     first worked as an electrician before completing METRO's training to

1-15     become a licensed journeyman in 1994; and

1-16           WHEREAS, Diligent and hardworking, Mr. Buckles has earned the

1-17     admiration and respect of all those with whom he is associated; and

1-18           WHEREAS, He is an exceptionally dedicated employee who

1-19     performs his duties with the utmost care and expertise; now,

1-20     therefore, be it

1-21           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

1-22     75th Legislature, hereby commend Richard Buckles for his important

1-23     contributions to Houston's METRO Authority; and, be it further

 2-1           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

 2-2     this valuable employee as an expression of the high regard of the

 2-3     Texas Senate.
