 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, The City of Houston and the State of Texas

 1-4     are justly proud of one of their fine young citizens,

 1-5     Patrick Randell Norfleet, who recently achieved the rank

 1-6     of Eagle Scout; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, This outstanding young gentleman brought honor

 1-8     to himself, his family, his troop, his community, and his state

 1-9     in earning the coveted Eagle Badge; and

1-10           WHEREAS, Patrick completed a service project which

1-11     required him to exercise his leadership abilities and at the

1-12     same time benefit his community; and

1-13           WHEREAS, Few are ever privileged to be named among the

1-14     ranks of the elite corps of Eagle Scouts; only two out of every

1-15     100 Boy Scouts reach this lofty position; and

1-16           WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath

1-17     and promise, Patrick advanced from Tenderfoot, Second, First,

1-18     Star, and Life classes to that of Eagle Scout; he is truly an

1-19     exemplary citizen of the State of Texas; now, therefore, be it

1-20           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

1-21     75th Legislature, hereby congratulate Patrick Randell Norfleet

1-22     of Troop 626 on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and commend

1-23     him on this great achievement; and, be it further

 2-1           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared

 2-2     for Eagle Scout Norfleet as a token of great admiration and

 2-3     esteem from the Texas Senate.
