 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to

 1-4     recognize Lee Small, Jr., for his outstanding contributions

 1-5     to Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church Cub Scout Pack 3242; and

 1-6           WHEREAS, Mr. Small and several other volunteers will be

 1-7     honored for their contributions at the Blue and Gold Banquet on

 1-8     February 15, 1997, in Houston, Texas; and

 1-9           WHEREAS, A dedicated volunteer, Mr. Small has devoted his

1-10     time and effort to the success of several projects involving

1-11     Pack 3242; and

1-12           WHEREAS, A native of Beaumont, Texas, Mr. Small has lived in

1-13     Houston for 14 years; he attended Texas Southern University, where

1-14     he majored in business; and

1-15           WHEREAS, A valued employee of United Parcel Service for

1-16     18 years, he is currently employed as Operations Manager; and

1-17           WHEREAS, The people of Houston and Harris County have greatly

1-18     benefitted from the accomplishments of Mr. Small; now, therefore,

1-19     be it

1-20           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

1-21     75th Legislature, hereby commend Lee Small, Jr., for his

1-22     donation of his time and energy to Cub Scout Pack 3242; and,

1-23     be it further

 2-1           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

 2-2     Mr. Small as an expression of the high regard and esteem of

 2-3     the Texas Senate.
