 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and

 1-4     promise, David Dawson of Austin advanced through the ranks of

 1-5     Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes before recently

 1-6     attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, In receiving the coveted Eagle Badge, this fine

 1-8     young man becomes one of the privileged few who ever achieve this

 1-9     distinguished honor; and

1-10           WHEREAS, In conducting a service project which allowed him

1-11     to exercise his leadership abilities, David has completed the

1-12     requirements for becoming an Eagle Scout and has at the same time

1-13     benefitted his community; and

1-14           WHEREAS, This personable young man brings great honor to

1-15     himself, his family, and his troop in joining the elite corps

1-16     of Eagles; and

1-17           WHEREAS, David is truly a shining example to his troop

1-18     and indeed all citizens of Texas; now, therefore, be it

1-19           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

1-20     75th Legislature, hereby commend David Dawson of Troop 395 on

1-21     his outstanding achievement; and, be it further

1-22           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

1-23     Eagle Scout Dawson as an expression of admiration from the

 2-1     Texas Senate.
