 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans,

 1-4     Reba Frances Kinsala and James Elliott Wester, who have shared

 1-5     50 happy and fulfilling years of marriage is truly a memorable

 1-6     occasion worthy of special recognition; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, This respected couple met at a basketball game at

 1-8     Palmer High School, where James had gone to accept a teaching

 1-9     position; and

1-10           WHEREAS, On November 15, 1946, Frances and James were married;

1-11     and

1-12           WHEREAS, Loving, patient, and loyal, James and Frances have

1-13     been exemplary parents and their sons, Jerry Kin and Jimmy Cal,

1-14     and grandchildren, Lezlee and Chad, lead successful and productive

1-15     lives; and

1-16           WHEREAS, After 15 dedicated years of teaching, James decided

1-17     to go into the insurance and real estate business; and

1-18           WHEREAS, To celebrate their golden wedding anniversary, James

1-19     and Frances were honored by a reception on November 17, 1996; 75

1-20     friends, relatives, and acquaintances were invited to honor the

1-21     couple by their presence at the reception; Mr. and Mrs. Wester's

1-22     wedding attendants, Harper Wadley and Ruth Smith Wadley, along with

1-23     cherished family friend Mary N. Glaspy, assisted at the gathering;

 2-1     and

 2-2           WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Wester is

 2-3     certainly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it

 2-4           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

 2-5     75th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to

 2-6     Mr. and Mrs. James Elliott Wester on the occasion of their 50th

 2-7     wedding anniversary; and, be it further

 2-8           RESOLVED, That a special copy of this Resolution be prepared

 2-9     for this distinguished couple as a memento of this distinctive day

2-10     in their lives.
