No. 226 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-3 WHEREAS, The City of Spring and the State of Texas are justly 1-4 proud of one of their fine young citizens, Christopher Scott Bankhead, 1-5 who recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and 1-6 WHEREAS, This outstanding young gentleman brought honor to 1-7 himself, his family, his troop, his community, and his state in 1-8 earning the coveted Eagle Badge; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Chris completed a service project which required him 1-10 to exercise his leadership abilities and at the same time benefit his 1-11 community; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Few are ever privileged to be named among the ranks 1-13 of the elite corps of Eagle Scouts; only two out of every 100 Boy 1-14 Scouts reach this lofty position; and 1-15 WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and 1-16 promise, Chris advanced from Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, 1-17 and Life classes to that of Eagle Scout; he is truly an exemplary 1-18 citizen of the State of Texas; now, therefore, be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-20 75th Legislature, hereby congratulate Christopher Scott Bankhead 1-21 of Troop 331 on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and commend him 1-22 on this great achievement; and, be it further 1-23 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for Eagle 2-1 Scout Bankhead as a token of great admiration and esteem from the 2-2 Texas Senate. 2-3 ______________________________________ 2-4 President of the Senate 2-5 I hereby certify that the above 2-6 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-7 on February 24, 1997. 2-8 ______________________________________ 2-9 Secretary of the Senate 2-10 ______________________________________ 2-11 Member, Texas Senate
