No. 227 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-3 WHEREAS, Birthdays are occasions to be joyously celebrated, 1-4 and so it was for John Seibert when he was the guest of honor on 1-5 his special day; and 1-6 WHEREAS, This being his 40th birthday, he has been blessed 1-7 with a wonderful life; his wife, Lorraine, and their daughter, 1-8 Jessica, have been the source of much pride and joy; and 1-9 WHEREAS, A transplanted Texan, John moved to Texas 20 years 1-10 ago to seek new opportunities and to start his own company which 1-11 he built into a highly successful business; in January, 1986, he 1-12 founded Seibert-Wilson, Incorporated, which merged 10 years later 1-13 with Rytech Construction Services; Mr. Seibert is executive vice 1-14 president of the new company; and 1-15 WHEREAS, Always trying to make things better and never afraid 1-16 to stand up for what he believes, John has taken an active interest 1-17 in his community and is ready to respond whenever the city calls on 1-18 him; he has freely given of his time and energies to meet community 1-19 needs as board member of the East Dallas Rotary Club and as a member 1-20 of the East Dallas Chamber of Commerce; and 1-21 WHEREAS, An outgoing individual who makes friends easily, 1-22 John Seibert has many interests and hobbies; a computer nerd who 1-23 plays the guitar, John also collects cars and is particularly fond 2-1 of Jaguars; his chief pleasures are spending time with his family 2-2 and going out to eat and to the movies; he enjoys taking his 2-3 daughter skating and attending her various activities, including 2-4 volleyball and Kung-Fu; and 2-5 WHEREAS, A good friend and genuine asset to the State of Texas, 2-6 John Seibert has earned the admiration and esteem of his family 2-7 and all those who have the privilege of knowing him; now, therefore, 2-8 be it 2-9 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-10 75th Legislature, hereby declare John Seibert a treasured citizen 2-11 of his town and state and extend sincere birthday greetings with 2-12 best wishes for continued health and happiness; and, be it further 2-13 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him 2-14 as a memento of this important day in his life. 2-15 ______________________________________ 2-16 President of the Senate 2-17 I hereby certify that the above 2-18 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-19 on February 24, 1997. 2-20 ______________________________________ 2-21 Secretary of the Senate 2-22 ______________________________________ 2-23 Member, Texas Senate
