 1-1                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-2                                  In Memory

 1-3                                     of

 1-4                          Trinidad Alatorre Orozco

 1-5           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens

 1-6     of San Antonio in mourning the death of Trinidad Alatorre Orozco,

 1-7     who died on January 23, 1996, at the age of 70; and

 1-8           WHEREAS, Mrs. Orozco was born on February 27, 1926, in

 1-9     West Virginia; and

1-10           WHEREAS, This talented lady raised three children, and she was

1-11     a dynamic force in the lives of her three grandchildren; she worked

1-12     continually to enrich the lives of her children and grandchildren;

1-13     and

1-14           WHEREAS, A highly talented dressmaker, Mrs. Orozco worked for

1-15     Farah industries for many years, and when Levi Strauss bought the

1-16     company, they kept her on until her retirement; and

1-17           WHEREAS, Talented in many ways, Mrs. Orozco was an inspired

1-18     cook; and

1-19           WHEREAS, One of the most valuable lessons she taught her

1-20     children and grandchildren was the importance of the family; her

1-21     guidance is still felt in their daily lives; and

1-22           WHEREAS, This notable lady had warmth and grace; she taught

1-23     the members of her family strength of character and imparted a high

 2-1     standard of values to the members of her household; and

 2-2           WHEREAS, A devoted mother and grandmother, she is remembered

 2-3     for the affection, confidence, and loyalty she inspired in those

 2-4     whom she loved; and

 2-5           WHEREAS, A respected and  beloved member of her community,

 2-6     Mrs. Orozco will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her

 2-7     friends, and her church; she leaves a legacy of compassion and

 2-8     commitment that will be cherished by those who knew her; now,

 2-9     therefore, be it

2-10           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

2-11     75th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the members

2-12     of her family:  her daughters, Dorothy Casanova and Teresa Orozco;

2-13     her son, Rey Orozco; her sisters, Bea Aguirre, Alice Tellez, and

2-14     Amelia Alatorre; her brother, Jose Alatorre; and her three

2-15     grandchildren; and, be it further

2-16           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the

2-17     members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the

2-18     Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so

2-19     in memory of Trinidad Alatorre Orozco.
