 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is a grand observance

 1-4     worthy of much celebration; and

 1-5           WHEREAS, A. M. McAdams and Dorothy B. McAdams entered into the

 1-6     bonds of holy matrimony on February 15, 1947, in Commerce, Texas;

 1-7     they have built a life together based on loyalty and devotion; and

 1-8           WHEREAS, The family and friends of this beloved couple joined

 1-9     in congratulating them on reaching this important milestone in their

1-10     lives; and

1-11           WHEREAS, The loving respect Dorothy and A. M. share with one

1-12     another is evident to all who are fortunate to know them; and

1-13           WHEREAS, Mr. McAdams worked as a warehouse manager for Link

1-14     Belt Company before his retirement, and Mrs. McAdams has retired

1-15     from her position as assistant credit manager with Potts Longhorn

1-16     Leather Company; and

1-17           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McAdams have been blessed with a

1-18     wonderful family; their two children and three grandchildren have

1-19     been the source of much happiness; now, therefore, be it

1-20           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

1-21     75th Legislature, hereby join the relatives and friends of

1-22     Mr. and Mrs. A. M. McAdams in extending best wishes and

1-23     congratulations to them on their golden wedding anniversary;

 2-1     and, be it further

 2-2           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

 2-3     the distinguished couple as a memento of this notable occasion.
