 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to

 1-4     recognize John Moore of Houston, Texas, on achieving the rank of

 1-5     Eagle Scout; this fine young man joined the elite corps of Eagles

 1-6     recently and was presented the coveted Eagle Badge at a Court of

 1-7     Honor; and

 1-8           WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only two out

 1-9     of every 100 boys in the Boy Scout program ever attain the rank

1-10     of Eagle Scout; and

1-11           WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and

1-12     promise, John advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second,

1-13     First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout;

1-14     and

1-15           WHEREAS, This personable young man has displayed leadership

1-16     through planning, developing, and conducting a service project;

1-17     John organized and supervised the construction of an outdoor

1-18     Stations of the Cross for his school; and

1-19           WHEREAS, By earning the rank of Eagle Scout, John brings great

1-20     honor to himself, his family, his troop, his community, and his

1-21     state; now, therefore, be it

1-22           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

1-23     75th Legislature, hereby commend John Moore of Troop 567 on

 2-1     receiving this prestigious honor and congratulate him on his

 2-2     outstanding achievement; and, be it further

 2-3           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

 2-4     Eagle Scout Moore as an expression of high regard and esteem

 2-5     from the Texas Senate.
