 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, One of journalism's most esteemed traditions is that

 1-4     of the local weekly newspaper, and the Seagoville Suburbia News is

 1-5     one such enterprise, serving the residents of Seagoville, Combine,

 1-6     Crandall, and Kleberg for the past 25 years; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, The paper was established and has been published

 1-8     continuously by the Wooley family, and throughout its history, the

 1-9     paper's dedicated staff has informed and enlightened fellow citizens

1-10     on topics of local interest; and

1-11           WHEREAS, Billed as the official newspaper for Seagoville,

1-12     Crandall, and Combine, the Seagoville Suburbia News has shared a

1-13     mutually beneficial relationship with its readers throughout the

1-14     years, and its management and staff look forward to the challenges

1-15     and opportunities of the years to come; now, therefore, be it

1-16           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

1-17     75th Legislature, hereby honor the past and present staff members

1-18     of the Seagoville Suburbia News, including publisher and editor

1-19     Neal Wooley, consulting editor Jerry Neal Wooley, classified and

1-20     circulation manager Lois Wooley, photographer and sports editor

1-21     Homer Allred, composer and typesetter Grace Garrett, and advertising

1-22     manager Neal Wooley, and extend to them sincere best wishes for

1-23     continued success and happiness in the future; and, be it further

 2-1           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be prepared

 2-2     for the Seagoville Suburbia News as an expression of high regard by

 2-3     the Texas Senate.
